Total elimination of SCP-1055 is hypothesized to require the extermination of all previously exposed individuals, including the O5 Council itself and anyone who is reading this document. Amnestics of any class are not sufficient to eliminate awareness. The only event which has ever been shown to effectively reduce SCP-1055 in size is the death of at least 80% of the individuals aware of its existence. No upper limit to the size or lethality of SCP-1055's biomass has been established during containment breaches and exposure to civilians and unscreened personnel. However, about 75% of any hostile action taken against SCP-1055 to date has failed to destroy more of the organism than the very act itself generated, even in circumstances where the trauma was applied remotely via bombing or automated defenses. Portions of SCP-1055's biomass that are removed via trauma do not regenerate or continue living independently. Even in confined or subterranean locations SCP-1055's growth can exert enough pressure to cause tremors and massive structural failure, and pieces of the biomass are capable of growing through and widening gaps or cracks of any size.Īpart from its mass generation, SCP-1055 possesses no special ability to resist trauma. In the event of catastrophic exposure to human awareness, SCP-1055 will quickly be overwhelmed by its own size and will no longer be able to effectively move at will however, it will continue to grow and produce sensory organs and appendages which are used to assault any living creature within reach. Hostile or fearful awareness of SCP-1055 increases its size and hostility significantly more than benign awareness, but due to SCP-1055's violent nature, even a calm awareness of its existence can quickly spiral into a potential containment breach as the danger it presents escalates and it exposes itself to more individuals. The means by which SCP-1055 gains and loses mass is not understood, but it appears to be in relation to the number and proximity of individuals who are aware of SCP-1055 and the nature of the attention it receives from them. Under normal conditions, SCP-1055 superficially resembles a specimen of Ursus arctos horribilis however, its volume, mass and morphology shift spontaneously. Despite classification as an anomaly, staff are encouraged to address SCP-1055 with normal social pronouns in documentation and conversation. SCP-1055 may be addressed as 1055, "Mikey" or any nickname which he suggests. He is a Caucasian male, 6 foot 4 inches tall and 280 pounds, 29 years of age, and suffers from autistic spectrum disorder and Down syndrome. Level 4 personnel who oversee containment of SCP-1055 are not allowed within 50 km of Site-77 nor may they directly interact with any personnel tasked with its maintenance.ĭescription: SCP-1055 is formerly Michael Schroder of Douglas, WY. D-1055 has thus far presented the only viable means of containing SCP-1055 without massive loss of personnel and resources. D-1055 is of diminished mental faculty but aware of the importance of his service in keeping "Bugsy" safe in his arms. Due to SCP-1055's extreme reactions to human perception, successful containment requires that staff on site be misdirected to believe that D-1055 is the anomalous entity himself. Under no circumstances is any physical harm to be done to SCP-1055, even and especially if it becomes hostile.Ĭontainment of SCP-1055 depends primarily upon the health and well-being of its caretaker, D-1055. In the event of catastrophe, staff are to evacuate and flood the living quarters with nitrous oxide. SCP-1055 may vocalize unhappiness or deliver warnings on behalf of this object any requests concerning this object must be met by all possible means available.Ĭontainment of SCP-1055 depends primarily on both its isolation and positive social attitude. Staff must allow and encourage this behavior, even during bathing and feeding. SCP-1055 will fixate upon a random object (currently a teddy bear referred to as "Bugsy") and clutch it tightly at all times. If current supplies do not meet requirements, substitutions of pasta or sugary cereals are commonly accepted. Staff are encouraged to provide any meal which SCP-1055 asks for within appropriate nutritional guidelines. SCP-1055's living quarters contain a playroom with television, futon and sound system, a washroom, a library stocked with children's books, and a kitchen. Two personnel responsible for providing care to SCP-1055 are to be rotated in every eight hours for 24-hour observation. SCP-1055's living quarters are accessible via subterranean monorail from Site-77. Accessing additional information requires Level 5 approval and accepts the risk of creating a containment breach. Information in this document is presented strictly on a need-to-know basis for containment personnel. This happens sometimes for no reason on healthy adults, or it can happen on those with NGs, or simply OTL (Out To Lunch) patients or SGD (She's gonna die) patients. A lot of older patients get secretions stuck right up behind the vocals, and they produce this high pitched sound. Yet, it is true, many times doctors only listen to the posterior lungs and hear this high pitched sound and call it a wheeze, when it is actually upper airway stridor or rhonchi. If you hear it loud and clear their, then the noise you heard in the lower airways was this same sound. To hear this noise, all you have to do is take your stethoscope and set it over the throat. ( Dana Oakes, "Clinical Practitioner's Pocket Guide to Respiratory Therapy," describes it this way). However, some RT books describe stridor as any noise inspiratory and expiratory that is heard in the throat. Only, it usually gets charted as a wheeze, so no one ever talks about it. And, despite contrary belief, it is a common lung sound in adults too. It can be the result of croup or post extubation. It is usually caused because of swelling near the vocal cords. Stridor is usually an audible inspiratory high-pitched sound. As I wrote in my last post, any lung sound that is audible is not a wheeze: it is rhonchi. Sometimes these secretions are embedded by the vocal cords, and produce an audible sound. However, sometimes those secretions are further embedded in the upper airway, and this causes the COARSE sound you hear. You have the patient cough and usually this goes away. Rhonchi can also produce a bubbly sound over the throat and upper airway, which almost sounds like fluid is in there. Yet, three weeks later and after the insurance company is out $10,000 because of useless breathing treatments, the patient still has those treatments ordered.Īnd all of that because the doctor heard rhonchi and had no idea it was not a wheeze. Yet, as soon as the RT does the STAT breathing treatment, the patient feels no better and the peek flow is the same before and after. Even many doctors chart this is coarse or as a wheeze and assume it is bronchospasm. This is probably the toughest lung sound to pick out because it's not taught very well in school. What you are hearing is secretions rumbling on inspiratoin and expiration. In a lot of patients you have that loud sound on inspiratory and expiratory. If you are charting coarse, you should actually be charting rhonchi. How do you best describe this sound? a) a wheeze b) rhonchi c) crackles d) a and c.ĭo you want to know what the answer was? It was (drum roll please) "b" rhonchi. There was a practice NBRC test that asked this question: You are listening to lung sounds and you hear a coarse sound throughout on inspiration and expiration. Today I want to discuss rhonchi and coarse. And because it comes from the small bronchial tubes in the lungs, it is NEVER heard audibly. The low pitched coarseness of rhonchi is usually in the upper, larger airways where sound travels better, and it produces a noise that is more easily heard.Ī wheeze, for definition purposes, is not a low pitched coarse sound but high pitched whistling sound. Why do I say this? Because rhonchi is usually heard over a wheeze and is usually hard throughout the lungs. But if it's continuous throught all the lungfields, it is probably not a wheeze. if you can isolate it to one particular lobe, its more likely a wheeze. The majority of the time, however, a coarse wheeze is actually rhonchi. But, so, where is it? RUL? RML? RLL? LUL? LLL? It could be a coarse wheeze or coarse rhonchi. What is coarse? Is it a coarse wheeze? Is is rhonchi? Actually, it could be both. Allow me to share this information with you: there is no such lung sound as coarse. On a side note, someone in my RT department (we won't name names) keeps charting "Coarse" under lungsounds. Some books say that a crackle is either fine, medium or coarse, while others say it's rhonchi, rhales and fine crackles. To be fair, however, different books can describe the same sounds differently. I know this might sound hilarious, but there are some people who have listened to lungs for 20 years and still have no clue how to describe them. The rest of this week I thought I would discuss some of the basic lungsounds. To change which DNS servers your PS4 is using: You don't need to do this if you've already changed it on your router! If you don't want to change the DNS server for your entire home network, you can change it just on your PS4. While 2.4 GHz wireless has better wall penetration than dual-band 5GHz, the old standard is also slower and more susceptible to interference. The original PS4 model only supports 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz wireless, whereas the newer PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro models support dual-band 802.11ac on the 5 GHz band. Check out Review Geek's recommendations for powerline network adapters for shopping ideas.įor many of us, wireless networks are the only option. We've covered how to set up a powerline network in your own house in the past. You'll find an Ethernet port on the back of all PS4 models, connect one end of a standard Ethernet cable to your console and the other to a free port on your router.īut what if your PS4 and router are in different rooms, or on different floors? Ethernet powerline adapters allow you to use the cables that are already in your walls. If your router is close to your console, this is an easy fix. The original PS4 is notoriously bad for its wireless connection, but a wired connection will improve performance on both the Slim and Pro hardware revisions too. For a far more stable network connection, ditch wireless altogether and use an Ethernet cable instead. Even if you have a modern router, you cannot control the weather or your neighbor's choice of wireless channel. (But DNS is just a IP address look up, not a proxy, it doesn't cache contents, so for big long downloads it wont make much difference, but for online gaming when you PS4 generates traffic to various addresses constantly, it can help.Wireless networks can be slow and prone to interference. Generally people also find that by using Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) gives better results as Google has lots of servers all over the world. (But DNS is just a IP address look up, not a proxy, it doesn't cache contents, so for big long downloads it wont make much difference, but for online gaming when you PS4 generates traffic to various addresses constantly, it can help.) Unless this takes way too long, again no worries. You will just have to leave it overnight and let it do the download. It will run faster when the PS4 is in rest mode. The PS4 obviously gives such background tasks lower priority. If you game lags all the time, then start asking around, googling, see whether it's a problem with that game's servers or design (some games use peer-to-peer connection, which is very dependent on other players' internet connection).įor (b), the test numbers won't tell you much either, cos downloading of big files are done in the background. So long as your games run fine most of the time, no worries. Furthermore, any lag you may experience occasionally may be caused by another player in your game world rather than slow down due to your own internet connection. Not very meaningful as they will not be the same game servers you are connecting to when playing anyway. Tests like that just attempts to connect to some fixed server at unknown locations, it also depends on the response time of those test servers. Generally, don't worry so much about the "Test Internet Connection" results.įor (a), so long as you play mp and not experiencing lag, dont care about the test numbers. We tested each submitted crossbow with the accessories provided by the manufacturer, though it’s worth noting that some brands offer upgraded accessory packages, such as better scopes and cocking devices, for extra coin. Most Accurate: Excalibur Assassin Extreme. Here’s what else we found, including our picks for the best crossbows of 2023. This year, a pair sub-$600 models broke the 400-fps threshold-just two of several surprises our test panel uncovered during this year’s annual crossbow test. I remember when 400-fps speed was a big deal and you had to pay through the nose to get it. The average speed for all crossbows we tested this year was 392 fps-about 50 fps faster than the average speed from 10 years ago. That’s good because crossbows are bulky, and they seem to triple in size once you’re up in a tree stand.Īlthough none of the top 2023 models threaten the 500-fps mark, they’re far from sluggish. But for now, crossbow manufacturer seem focused on giving hunters a more compact package rather than additional raw power. I bet we’ll see a 600-fps model within the next decade. Is the race to build the most powerful crossbow over? Probably not. After the introduction of two 500-plus-fps crossbows in 2022, there’s something of a performance plateau this year. If you’re hoping to find the new fastest-ever model among the best crossbows, well, you won’t. We may earn revenue from the products available on this page and participate in affiliate programs.
I think that Python allows you to set the position in a file, too, so you could still reference particular lines in the file, if you needed. You could use a stream to write lines to a file, and then use a stream to read lines from the file, one by one. System shows a jumbled word, Player need to guess the correct word. A Simple Word Jumble Game This is a very popular game Single/Multi - player game, that is asked in so many popular puzzles. It's been a while since I've programmed Python, but you could then manipulate the results stored in that file using streams, so you'd make more efficient use of the RAM available in your system. Python (Word Jumble Game) Python is powerful Fast Plays well with other Runs everywhere Friendly. WORDS'hello','greeting','evening','sunset. So you'll have a word and a hint to give out for it when the player gets stuck. The hint will be something you generate along with the sequence of words to choose from, in pair form. Even though each position has the same literal character in it, it's still at a different position in the string.Īlso, one way you could get around not running out of memory is to formulate some way to write the results to a temporary text file, just to purge it from RAM. For the hint part: if the player guesses wrong a specified number of times, he gets the option to ask for a hint. For instance, in the case of dunretnda, position 2 = 'n', and position 6 = 'n', as well. Not being able to add a whole lot to your code, I'm willing to bet that the reason why dunretnda (redundant) shows up more than one time is because there are duplicate characters in the string. If both the string matches in the above step then print the current word in the file words. More than 100 million people use GitHub to discover, fork, and contribute to over 420 million projects. Print "The solution to the jumble is", anaġ) Can anyone please explain to me why for some anagrams like ouhse (house) I only get the answer printed once while with other anagrams such as dunretnda (redundant) I get the answer printed multiple times (in this case, 4)?Ģ) Is there another way to write this code so I can solve much bigger anagrams without receiving a memory error or am I strictly locked down by the amount of ram I have on my computer? Hi, yesterday I threw together a little jumble solver that takes any anagram as an input and returns any real words that can be found using all of the letters of that anagram. ・Damage dealt is mostly from the character being on-field, whether it be Normal or Charged Attacks, or with Elemental Skill or Burst. ・The main damage dealer of the party, which is often the hypercarry or the on-field driver of elemental reactions. Thus Yanfei is added to Support Tier List only at that specific constellation. Yanfei gains a small support passive at C4, but no further impactful support passives before C4.
Muscle memory is hard to explain but if you can consistently make flick shots, it is probably due to good muscle memory. While this might only take a fraction of a second, in a high precision competitive environment, even a small fraction counts.Īnother important aspect of your aim is what is called muscle memory. What I mean by this, is that you will wait to take shoots until you see that your crosshair does not have any firing or movement error. The downside of a dynamic crosshair is that you make your brain used to focus on whether you have any accuracy. As explained previously, this might sound like a good thing, but overall you will quickly get the sense of when you are accurate if you use a fixed crosshair. Firing error and movement error turned on, will indicate your inaccuracy whenever you move or shoot. This is what I call a refers to when I talk about dynamic crosshairs. I would recommend using then outlines (max 2). If you have trouble with the crosshair not being visible enough, you can enable outlines. Generally, you should select a color that you are clearly visible to you. Optimally, you would have different crosshairs for different maps, as the background might differ. Crosshair colorįor the crosshair color, go with whatever you like. It might be a good indication of your accuracy but at the same time it will be distracting and it will hurt your muscle memory (this includes the ability to do flicks). A dynamic crosshair is a crosshair that moves whenever you move or fire your rifle. Therefore, I also recommend that you disable any kind of dynamic crosshair. In general, you should select a crosshair so that you are quickly able to visualize the middle of the screen, but the crosshair should NOT be too distracting. That said, there are some takeaways when it comes to good crosshair settings.Īlso, there is no crosshair that is better for rifle players or sniper/AWP players, since sniper rifles are mostly used scoped, which is not possible to customize. When it comes to customizing your crosshair, it is a personal preference, what the best crosshair it. Let me start by saying this there are NO best or optimal crosshair settings. This is the in-game crosshair settings Shroud is using: Color Besides this, he is a former professional CS:GO player and very popular streamer. While Shroud is not a professional VALORANT player, you cannot deny that he has incredible aim. Crosshair settings from pro playersīefore I go into my recommendations, I want to show how professional players have chosen to adjust their crosshair settings. From watching pro players, it also seems that the same trend from CS:GO carries over to VALORANT when it comes to crosshair settings. Having played VALORANT since the game came out, I can see big similarities when it comes to CS:GO in regards to the gunplay and overall gameplay. Besides this, I have spent many hours analyzing professional players and looking at their settings, including their crosshair settings. I was at the Master rank in Overwatch, while not the highest rank, still very decent and among the top 5% best if I am not completely wrong. I am a long time CS:GO player ranked Global Elite (the highest rank, around the top best 1% of players). In CS:GO, people have been looking for the ultimate crosshair since the game came out.īefore we dig into this guide, I just want to quickly tell about why I believe that I am qualified for giving advice on this matter. VALORANT is a highly competitive FPS game, like CS:GO had a baby with Overwatch or Team Fortress. That said, we will try to look into what professional players and popular streamers use as their crosshair settings. One thing to consider is that the crosshair settings depends on personal preference. VALORANT gives you the ability to select and tweak your own crosshair in many ways, which means that there are almost unlimited options when it comes to configuring your crosshair. Since aiming is such an essential part of VALORANT, having a good crosshair is also essential if you want to aim better and get more eliminations. In this guide, we will go in-depth with the best crosshair settings for VALORANT. |
